Camera Mode
Camera mode streams your Android device's camera to your desktop instead of the screen. This is useful for using your phone as a high-quality webcam, document scanner, or remote camera.

Launching Camera Mode
Camera mode is launched separately from regular screen mirroring. In the Devices panel, click the camera icon (
) on the device you want to use.
A window opens showing the live camera feed.
You can run camera mode and screen mirroring at the same time on different device windows.
Camera Settings
Configure these options in the Camera tab before launching.
Facing Direction
Choose which camera to use:
| Option | Camera used |
|---|---|
| Back | Rear-facing camera (default) |
| Front | Front-facing / selfie camera |
| External | USB or external camera attached to the device |
Resolution
Sets the capture resolution. Higher resolutions are sharper but require more processing power and bandwidth. Leave blank to use the camera's default.
Common resolutions depend on your device — check your camera specs if you need a specific size.
Aspect Ratio
Constrains the camera to a specific aspect ratio (for example, 16:9 or 4:3). Leave blank to use the camera's native ratio.
Frame Rate
Maximum frames per second for the camera stream. Lower values save battery and bandwidth; higher values produce smoother video.
Notes
- Camera mode requires Android 12 or later
- Some devices may not expose all cameras through this interface
- Audio settings from the Audio tab still apply in camera mode — you can forward microphone audio at the same time
